Building MARLO™

MARLO™ wasn't created overnight, and it didn't begin with a development site.

For both of us, property has always been close to home. We grew up around renovations, watching our families transform houses and seeing the value that thoughtful improvements could create. Those experiences shaped the way we look at property today, not just as buildings, but as opportunities to create something better.

As electricians working in heavy industry, we built our careers around planning, precision and disciplined execution. Outside of work, weekends and time off were spent renovating homes, learning every stage of the process and slowly building the confidence to take on larger projects.

One renovation became another. Then another.

With every project came a better understanding of design, construction, budgeting and the countless decisions that determine whether a project succeeds or falls short.

Eventually, renovations stopped feeling like the destination.

They became the foundation.

That foundation led to Mayfield, and today it has led us to SONDER.

Our first ground-up residential development.

The leap from renovating one home to delivering four individually designed residences has been significant. It has challenged us, stretched us and reinforced that good developments are built long before construction begins.

While our focus has shifted towards development, our curiosity hasn't changed.

We still walk through open homes. We still study renovations. We still look for opportunities to improve a property and understand why one project succeeds where another doesn't.

Because every project, whether it's a renovation or a new development, teaches something that shapes the next.

MARLO™ is the result of that mindset.
